I have been charged £2.50 for a call to California on 0016699006833 I have not made any calls to California but I did join a UK zoom call that day. Is this a scam?

Unless you choose the correct wifi options some Zoom calls are directed through the US

No, it's not a scam. 

It comes under the heading of user error.

If this was a work call you can probably claim it back from your company.

Thank you! I clicked a link in my phone to join a zoom call and then switched to my laptop. Wifi is off but laptop is hard wired. So as you say, user error - I joined the Zoom call for a few seconds via the phone.
