Porting number - how long ?

Hello. I entered my pac code when ordering and activated my SIM card on a Sunday evening (yesterday). How long does it take to port my old number over to o2 as 24 hours later it is still not happened

Its 1 working day. As you did it on a sunday then it wont complete til 1 working day later which will start today so it should complete tomorrow ( Tuesday)

@Emmahb Ports never happen on weekends. When you lose service on your old sim the process will begin. Keep turning your phone with your new sim off and on every half hour or so. 

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

So it’s Tuesday today and my old number is still not in use.... any ideas how I get hold of o2 to discuss this ?

Currently 0800 587 4005 is the best one to try.

It may not be straight away today that it goes through. You will know the process has started when the old sim with your number stops working.

Apparently the best number to try calling is 0800 587 4005. Give them a call and they should be able to check the status of your port. Hopefully there are no issues. Good luck.

You need to give it time to complete.

It should happen today but can be any time upto 9.00pm this evening.
