Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I recently took out a SIM only Pay Monthly contract with O2. During the purchase process I gave my PAC code and said I wanted to transfer my old number. I've received my new SIM from O2 and as per the instruction leaflet that came with it, put it into my phone. There was no mention of what to do if you are porting your number. Given that I've already given my PAC code, will it transfer across automatically at some point, or is there something I need to do to get the process moving?

You should get a text with a port date from o2, and it should all happen automatically.
However sometimes the PAC Code fails verification or the form fails, best thing to do is contact o2 on 202 or via message on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

Thanks, I've not had a text relating to porting so I'll get in touch with them
