Today (25/01/22) was my porting day. My Sky sim went dead at approx 11am.. But my number never ported. I called 202 at 8pm, was in a queue for 45 minutes, then a handler answered and hung up. Then surprise surprise, when I called back I was told via recorded message "we close at 9pm and queuing times are 1 hour"
Have I done the wrong thing coming to O2? Am I to expect poor technical and customer service? If so I want out already.. I just want my number.
I assume as I'm only a couple of days into the 14 day cooling off period, I can port out (with my real number?) not impressed at all.

There's a known issue with porting currently.
Keep rebooting your phone to help it along.
If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

I'm another one with a similar porting problem, from Three to O2. It is tricky not being able to deal with banking numbers and after many attempts at switching my phone on and off, a phone call to O2 resulted in the assurance that it's an unusual problem which will be passed to the back office. When I asked for the anticipated time for resolution, I was told it should be within 24 hours. Most frustrating and my first ever problem with porting.

I am on Day6 now - how long did it take for you guys - what did you do? I am calling daily, even visited the O2 store yesterday for help...absolutely beside myself. Please tell me that there is a solution...thanks
