Poor signal on PAYG.

I can understand that some places don't have a good signal, but one thing I can't understand is that I can have a good signal one minute and lose it the next without moving a millimetre. Minutes later I can have one bar, then four, then zero.  This problem is not just peculiar to my phone as I have had many phones.  My son, his friend and a lot of other people complain about sporadic signal problems.  Can someone please explain.  I also went to see an O2 guru in my local O2 shop in Carlisle with my previous phone and he said one aerial wasn't working on my phone, and he said he had fixed the problem for me, but when I returned home it was just as bad.

Good Morning,

 

 

Perhaps try removing your Sim Card and wiping it down to remove static build up.

 

Another option is to replace your current Sim Card by picking up a blank Sim Card from your local 02 shop, or ask for one to be posted to you.

 

Then carry out the SwapMySim procedure.

Take into account it takes from approx 2 hours to 24 hours to fully activate, and by turning your phone off and on throughout this period helps to reset your services.

If this is on 3g then it is how the cells work the breath i.e. gett bigger and smaller
