Poor Signal at Home

Anonymous
Not applicable

Currently 4 months into a 12 month contract with o2. The signal in my home is absolutely awful many times I dont get one at all at best a couple of signal bars.

Is my only option to buy out the remainder of my contract and move to another service provider who offer a better signal strength where I live?

Thanks

What contract are you on?

Tugo is available for personal contract users.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Depending on the phone you have o2 provide tu-go to use over home wifi to get round the indoor signal issues.

iPad Pro 12.9” 2020 256gb refresh o2 family discount
Apple Watch series 4
My first mobile was in 1995 a CM-R111 from sony on Cellnet.

Hi,

did you check if o2 is working on a mast near you? (your service could be affected.)

check here: http://status.o2.co.uk/

My phone is a huawei ascend y300 which I bought myself.

My monthly o2 contract is the £8 per month sim.

If my signal strength was good I would consider a different package.

Never heard of Tu-go I will have to google it.

Thanks

Click the link in my post. You can use it on your contract so give it a shot.

Yes that's one viable option if O2 signal is at its best where you are or hang in there until the networks upgraded.

Obtain payg sims from other networks to check out their signal to see if it's better. If your phone is locked then you can get it unlocked free as a contract customer or £15 for payg. T&c apply.

If so then ask for your PAC code and buy out the contract. Some people sell their current phone to help raise funds.

I'm assuming you can cancel your sim free contract at any time?

If so, might be worth to check other networks to see if you get a better signal, especially if there are no works near you or if Tu Go won't help

Phone is umlocked yes. Will need to try some other sims see if the signal is stronger.

Did a signal strength test for my area before going on the contract and the results came back as excellent. Guess they tell everyone that because they want you to sign uo with them.

Is tu-go basically a 3rd party app rerouting my calls and txts then? Shouldnt have to resort to that surely.

It's an official O2 app, not 3rd party and it also allows you to use your contract mins when abroad when connected to wifi so no roaming charges.
