Phones for under 18's

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am 17 years old and have recently been kicked out of my family home but had a contract in my mother's name and even though I pay for it she has taken the phone I was wondering if there is any way I can get a contract.

Not until you reach 18 and can pass the credit check.
PAYG is your only hope right now I'm afraid.

Also even though you pay for the phone, the contract is in your mothers name. Therefore legally she will have to make payments...unless she chooses to cancel the contract.

Sorry for your circumstances and if the situation is going to be permanent you might want to think about stopping payments on the contract. Pointless to keep on paying for it if it has been taken off you.

Be careful though as this could make the situation worse between the two of you. Hope you sort your issues out and return to the family home.
