Why haven't I been able to use my phone for last 7 weeks. Don't see why I should pay all this money for something that doesn't work

Why isn't it working? We need more info than you have given us.

Pop into your local O2 shop and get a free SIM swap.

Have you checked your network status as I advised first?

Pointless getting a new sim if the network is causing issues...
