Phone unlock -Pay as u go

I bought pay  as u go samsung s7 edge ,i am going outside EU and i need it unlocked so i can use internation sim i have been told i cannot as my phone should be with O2 for 12 months but this is pay as u go not pay montly

 

i think it is against customer rights ? i paid full for the phone now it is my phone not 02 anymore they can ask for fee but not this?

 

Need some reasponsible response from o2 .Attached screenshot of chat service respurce whoc said that

You won't get a response from o2 on here my friend as this is customer to customer only.
You can raise a complaint but it is o2 policy so you may not have any luck.

O2 stipulate that a P&G handset has to be used on the O2 network for 12 months before they will unlock it. It isn't something I personally agree with but you did unfortunately when you purchased the phone.

Do you know I think thats outrageous!! If you buy a phone outright from anywhere...why on earth should they think that locking it is acceptable? A lesson here. Buy outright from CPW..or Amazon, or giffgaff.. Rolleys

There was Ince a time when networks used to subsidise phones so it made sense for them to recoup the costs, but not anymore.
