Do O2 do a phone only contract, so no airtime plan is needed?

Cheers

Not on a contract but you can buy any of them outright by paying in full at the time of purchase.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If buying outright isn't for you,you could consider buying with a credit card and just pay back per month what you can afford. I appreciate the interest charges but just another scenario where you can keep that tariff.

@IonAiden

You could buy it PAYG but if you are buying an Android phone I'd buy it SIM free from elsewhere as you'll get updates when the manufacturer releases them and won't be waiting for O2 to approve them for distribution.

I would try one of the third party online stores as suggested above who will sell you a "SIM Free" phone without a contract wink

I've bought my last 3 phones from Amazon from a reputable seller. Unlocked to any network. Never been let down once.
