Hi, I’m going on holiday to Southern Africa in July (Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa). I know I can get an o2 travel bolt on to use when in Botswana and South Africa. What do you suggest I do for Zimbabwe and Namibia to avoid excessive call/data charges?

Use WhatsApp on a local sim card, for Zimbabwe or Namibia, and ensure your o2 sim card has roaming turned off.

@Wendy14 To add to the advice from @madasaf1sh, the people you're calling need to have WhatsApp on their phones as well. If you use WhatsApp over a Wifi connection you can call, text, or video call anyone anywhere in the world who also has the app for free.
