Am I able to keep my phone number if I move from one account to a new phone account? Different account holders.

Yes you can. You need to ask O2 to migrate the number but permission must be given by the current account holder first.

Easiest way is for both of you to be present when calling O2.

Bear in mind the account which you transfer the number from will be terminated and any fees outstanding will have to be paid.
