Phone Bill and VAT

Anonymous
Not applicable

I recently upgraded my contract.

My confirmation letter says airtime plan £18 a month and device plan £21 = £39 per month.

Plus a £3 discount on tariff for 24 months from date of connection making it £36 per month

Does the VAT get added onto the £36 OR is it already included in the £36?

thank you

Unless it's a business account, VAT is already included in those costs.

Is this correct?

My tarriff as I said is £18 pm with £3 discount.

This is the bill I'm querying and have to add getting nowhere with CS!

My tarriff £15.39 (39p is the change in Apr for inflation)

extras 1.37

Total £16.76 then they have added VAT of £3.34 giving total bill of £20.10

Looking at that the VAT has been added onto the tarriff and isn't already included in the £15??

thanks

It looks to me like they haven't taken the £3.00 discount off. Are you sure it's still valid and not expired after 12 months, as some discounts do?
You can check if you still have the discount bolt on in your MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

Could it be because it is the first bill @Anonymous?

Yes it's still valid, they only gave me it when I upgraded in Jan this year and letter says it's valid for 24months.

The odd thing is it isn't shown as a bolt on or as a discount on the actual bill.

Putting it in writing now, as over the phone you get nowhere.

Thanks for the help

If it's not showing on your bill or as a bolt on then it hasn't been applied.

Go for complaints.
