Do I have to call customer services to pay my balance and get a code to take my number to another provider? Or can I do it online or on the app?

Just get your PAC Guide: How to get your PAC [June 2021 Update] and give it to your new provider.

Once they port your number, O2 will generate your final bill and take it from your normal direct debit.

Guide: Cancelling Your Contract

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Malsford88 Do not cancel your Direct Debit with O2 until you see a ZERO balance. We've seen nightmare scenarios with people's credit reports in the past because they canceled their DD too soon.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

@Malsford88

You'll receive a letter through the post from O2 confirming that your device plan has been paid once they have taken the final payment.

It won't be possible to check in your MyO2 as it is disconnected as soon as your number transfers to the new provider.
