I pay for my 02 account by ddr. I was looking to switch provider now that my phone contract is over but I was told I cannot leave until my contractis up in september 18.... i thought I could give a months notice of intent to leave but they seem to suģgest I have a 12 month contract. My phone was riginally through virgin media but I took a sim out with bt due to not being able to get a signal.

In an ideal world you would give 30 days notice on the 19th August as a 12 month contract is exactly that. You could leave now by using a PAC to take your number to BT but you would still have termination charges to fulfill the minimum 12 month term.
