Pay monthly -No account apparently?!

Hey

So we've had a sim only deal for over 4 years now and was looking to see if we could get a Upgrade with phone deal.

When we go to forgotten log in details it says you cant find an account for that number?

Thats odd as you are taking money by direct debit for it yet there is no account ?How does that work?

Hi @Anonymous ,

It all depends on how bad the credit history. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing without trying... you can perhaps register with credit expert? It would give you an idea how bad is it... o2 only turns down the really bad ones. But don't go for a very high tariff with an really expensive handset, the higher the risk, the more the chances of it being declined... ideally you would start on sim only, then get a handset...but nothing is garanteed.

@Anonymous

Can I ask -> is a person credit checked for Sim Only as their is no handset involved. Or does it depend on a 30 day or 12 month option chosen ?

They are still credit checked, but less strict than if a handset is involved.

Thank you for a clear explanation @Anonymous

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks @Anonymous  for clarifying wink

I thought a lot of it would depend on an individuals past history..... and as we will never be aware of all of that, I think its best that we tread carefully with our responses for future enquiries wink
