Pay as you go phone

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello All,

I am planning to get a one plus 3t pay as you go phone. I ll be leaving to India in a month.

Would this phone come with a sim lock to O2? Or would I be able to use this with Indian network providers after going back to India?

Please if someone can advise

It will work with any SIM card as it is sold fully unlocked and sim free.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

As far as we know the one plus 3t is unlocked and unbranded (no o2 firmware)...

You should have no problem with an Indian network either though I don't know how much the regional lock can affect things these days.

It used to be that the phone had to be used in the original home region for around 40 minutes before the phone would be able to be used in in another area/country which is why I normally get a home sim too though they are cheap enough.

Anyone know if this is still an issue?

I think that only applies to Samsung phones @jonsie
The problem with the OP3 is that they sell an international version in the UK which may not be compatible with Indian networks.
