Pay as you Go Go Go

Hi, I am new to O2 with a simple Nokia 113 phone.  I use my phone mainly for texts with the odd short call but occasionally may want to use Facebook and have chosen the £10 PAYGoGoGo tariff.  What happens to any credit balance that I have left at the end of each month?  Is this the best tariff for me?  Help, please? Crazy

If you don't top in time with enough money to Pay for the new allowances on your anniversary date your tariff on pay as you go go go will be suspended ,and you'll drop onto the basic charges to use O2 services which can mount up.

If you look in your myo2 and your tariff it will show you what the basic charges are.

So say you have £5 left in your account and you don't make sure you have £10 on your anniversary date then the £5 will just sit in your account ,and be used up as your charged the basic rates for using your phone for calls and texts and web which is called web daily which is £1 per day so if you do drop onto this it's best to turn off your mobile data in your phones settings to avoid these charges until you too up sufficiently and use wifi instead.

£10 will be taken off your credit each month on your anniversary date.

Your allowances do not roll Over into the new month.

If you didn't top up in time you would drop onto o2's standard rates.

Any credit over the cost of your top up would stay on your account and would go towards your next top up requirement.

Perhaps look at o2's unlimited where you get an allowance and retain your top up credit.

Thank you.  So that does not mean that the balance will revert to nil at the next anniversary date?  Sorry I am a bit mixed up with this!

You would get a text message from O2 saying your next anniversary date is due and to make sure you have enough credit to cover it.

So if you topped up by £10 that would be taken off you on the said anniversary date to pay for your allowances of texts, minutes and data.

The other tariff ref O2 unlimited does not take your top up (credit)but can give less in allowances so the money on your account can then be used to pay for calls made when your minutes allowances or used to pay for a data bolt on etc

So what happens if I do not top up at the anniversary date and I have a credit balance left, will I still be able to use it? Sorry to appear dim LOL. Thanks for your help.

If you have enough credit for the package it will be taken and replaced by the package. If you do not have enough you will just use what credit you have to make calls etc.
