Pay and Go Go Go but paying £1 Web Daily fee

I'm new to PAYG as I got a Lumia 520 two days ago as a personal phone to complement my work phone. I signed up to Pay and Go Go Go and paid £10' which I thought have me a 250mb data allowance.

However, yesterday and today I received messages from O2 telling me I had 50mb to use before midnight and they'd taken £1 off my credit balance.

Am I missing something? I thought the allowance in my tariff meant I could use up to 250mb throughout the month?

The allowance takes effect on an anniversary date.

Your being charged for web daily.

Ring 02 tomorrow on 4445 to have your account checked.

25pence per call Or free dependant on payg tariff.

Can You check in my02 just to make sure what tariff your on.

Until your sorted turn off mobile data on your Phone to stop the phone connecting to 02 data and racking up the charge. They may refund the £1 taken if you ask. They may not which will mean you will have to top up another £10 to start the payg tariff off !

Many thanks for the quick response. Everything only started on Monday, so do you mean I have to wait a month? (Sorry if this is a daft question.) According to MyO2 I am on Pay and Go Go Go, but I wonder if it's been set up properly.

In the meantime I've switched off cellular data. I use wifi most of the time anyway, which was why 250mb mobile data a month would probably me more than enough for me.

Your 250MB allowance is for use over the month and renews each month on the same date.

It's possible that you were charged Daily Web until your allowance kicked in at midnight.

Check in My O2 or as said, call customer service on 4445. If there has been an error you may get the £1.00 back.

Thanks all. A quick call to a very helpful James at O2 this morning and everything's been reset. It seems that sometimes when you set up a new phone the tarriff doesn't get correctly applied. All fixed now.

Happy punter.
