I am trying to find out if I need money in my account when I decide to get a Like New Phone. I will be getting one with no upfront cost. Kind Regards.

If you're placing the order online, even with no upfront cost, you'll need to have at least £1 available in your bank/credit card account as part of the security/verification check which forms part of the credit scoring process. It's mostly to check ID and to confirm the card details, and is never actually debited just authorised and then refunded in my experience. slight_smile

Not sure whether the same is true in store or not, but would expect it to be over the phone as orders are processed in a similar way.

I work for O2, however any advice or opinion given in this community should be considered my own and not necessarily representative of Telefónica UK Limited.

No you don't need money on your account.
You will just be billed monthly as usual.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
