Paid my phone bill twice! Help!

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I owed o2 £160 and when I went to pay it yesterday my internet crashed and the payment didnt seem to have gone through when I checked my bank, so I restarted the payment and did it again. I got an email from o2 saying thank you for crediting your account with £320.

Cant believe it, I was wondering if theres anyway o2 can send money back to you? I will need it for my rent!!

Many Thanks,

Kieran Wootton

Have you contacted your bank, as they should be able to claim back the 2nd payment and put it back in to you bank account. this is usually quicker than waiting for a refund from o2. I did it with a payment to  the AA and it was back in my bank within 24 hours.

You can phone O2 CS and arrange to have it transfer back to your account.

202 from your phone

Can take up to 14 days (longest I've experienced)

Hope this helps .

Mist likely the payment that glitched will go back into your account within 10-14 days.

You will have to request it to go back into your account otherwise it will remain as a c4redit on your account. One the funds have literally hit your account then you need to call customer service to arrange a payment into your account but as advised earlier, it can take up to 14 days.

Keep chasing it up until repayment is made.

You'd have to phone them otherwise the extra payment would be kept as credit against future bills.

The glitch would be customers end O2 servers would only recognise it as a extra payment.
