You have to be 18, credit checked and responsible to obtain a mobile CONTRACT in the first place.
That CONTRACT carries terms that you are obliged to comply with - Standard UK law.
Regardless of "many reasons" (re excuses) the terms should be upheld....
As we all know, O2 are not shy at setting debt collectors onto customers who don't pay, and the number of issues we see on here with people not paying bills manually, on time, is unfathomable.....
If you don't want to / can't / are unable to pay by DD you shouldn't have a contract - No bank would give you a loan with a DD repayment plan so I fail to see the difference here tbh.........
