PAC used but transfer won't complete until 2/3 days after contract end

Hello,

My 12 month sim only contract with O2 is due to come to an end tomorrow.

I'm changing networks and have used a PAC today thinking my number would port over to the new network (Giff Gaff) tomorrow, but it won't actually transfer until Tuesday.

As far as I'm aware I'll go onto a rolling 1 month sim only plan for what will essentially be 2 days (is this correct?).  If so, will I be charged for the full month or will it be pro rata'd so I only pay for the 2 days?

Thanks in advance.

Pat

@Pat_

Ports don't happen over weekends and any requests made on Friday, won't complete untill Tuesday anyway. It's not because your contract hasn't ended yet.

You will pay 2 days pro rata when the port completes.

O2 will generate your final bill which may be for the full month (system generates it automatically) but you will be refunded once the system catches up with itself.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
