I tried to query this at the time when in Jordan recently, but with no luck.  Now back home, so I'll try again.

I don't believe this is the correct place to raise this query, but can't see that O2 offer any other alternative to contact them. Which is poor.

I have been charged £42.917 for 25.28MB of date on 16th March. I don't understand why? The only time I accessed/was able to access the internet was via wi-fi. If I was logged into a local wi-fi, what does this charge relate to?

Guide: How to find help & contact O2

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi MI5,

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

As I originally posted, I agree, I do not believe this is the right place to raise this query. I guess I posted it out of frustration more than anything else as I couldn't find anywhere else to ask the question. Every search brought me back to here.  How come an organisation the size of O2 haven't got a simple 'Contact Customer Services' option??

Next, I'm not really a social media person and so have neither Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts. I know what they are, they just don't interest me. So that's that option out. I'm loathed to open an account / that can of worms just so that I can attempt to contact my mobile phone network supplier.

I suspect I'll end up having to pay the mysterious charge, mainly as I have no way of querying it with O2!  I'll then vote with feet and switch to another supplier, one with a Customer Services you can actually contact!

Regards

Depending on your phone, turning it off/on or turning airplane mode on/off can cause it to connect to local data.

iPhones do this to register for iMessaging, Android phones do so for Google's Chat and both for visual voicemail.

Checking the tariff for Jordan, you should be paying £7.20 per MB - which would be £182!

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
