My son's contract finished Jan 2019. He is still being charged by 02 as they say he has not cancelled the plan when he moved to Virgin (appreciate he did not check his bank account about this earlier)

He is doing that now but 02 then say he cannot claim the money back they have taken after his contract ended and he had told them he was leaving.

He also cannot pass security as he does  not have access to the old email account or phone that his contract related to.

We are really struggling with 02 so can anyone help at all?

Many thanks, Jaclyn

@jaclynk

They are correct in that he wont be refunded as it was his job to cancel.

However there are new rules in place *(since July 2019) on how to cancel.

Guide: Cancelling Your Contract

So he can do it by text and then use any PAYG sim for a week to register on any network.

This will effectively end his contract with O2.

Read the part about STAC codes)
