Hi,

I've been having issues sending and receiving text messages today - when I check my postcode on the "My Networks" app, it tells me that "Our network's very busy in this area"

Does this mean there is a fault or there isn't?

or should I go through any other steps before I report it - I'm a pay monthly customer with a Samsung s9

Thanks

Alun

If it says busy it is congestion and not a fault until they can increase capacity in that area it will not improve !

@Alun what you would most likely find is a fault with a nearby mast which is putting extra stress on the next working one, so it will be working at reduced capacity.

Thanks - is there any way I can check for particular reports as the message I get doesn't really tell me anything?

Try putting in a more generic search term or some other local postcodes

OK - this might be a slightly different issue - swapped the sim to another mobile and I can send texts easily enough - the only thing I did yesterday was to reset all app permissions... to fix an issue I was having.

Do you think there is something I've not give permission to?

I use next SMS and that has all the permissions...

Have you tried the SIM back in the S9 as it might have just been a build up of static on the SIM which is known to cause sms issues.

In the s9, sim still doesn't send text messages - calls work fine...
