Hi there why would you give an delivery date that cant be fulfilled by the delivery company, placed an order which was due to delivered today but cannot be delivered by DPD until tomorrow, thoroughly not happy with the whole experience of upgrading after been messed around on Saturday by customer services on the phone spending nearly 2 hours on the phone, been passed around different departments to be told that the upgrade had to be done online, then the website crashed after taking payment, which resulted in me having to pay again to get the upgrade completed and given a date of today (4th May 2020) only to be told by DPD delivery that it will be delivered tomorrow (5th May 2020), I seriously think you need to liase with DPD and stop giving customers false information.

It even states on the Order Confirmation that delivery will be on 4th May between 8am & 10pm and that the contract will not start until today, why should I pay from today for a tablet that i'm not recieving because O2 & DPD have messed up?

I understand that we are still in the grips of this pandemic, but you still should not be advertising next day delivery if you cannot fulfill that, it goes against Trade Descriptions Act, and also Consumer Rights Act

If someone would like to contact me and get this rectified then please call me on [Removed] before I go to Trading Standards.

Thanks

@ChristopherT

I understand your anger but this is a community forum and not O2. We are customers like yourself and are only able to advise.

You have done all you can and it's a waiting game now.

You may wish to make a complaint, if so, follow the advice in this link https://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

We hear of these issues so much on here.

O2 aren't bothered about misleading customers .

Hi Lee,

I'm in the same position, placed an order on Wednesday 29th April which said next day delivery. Each day DPD has said it would be delivered that day. By Friday evening it was clear it wouldn't be delivered and they don't deliver on the weekend so delivery date was changed to today after the phone was sent to the wrong depot twice. I emailed DPD's "Make It Right" team who said the current depot it was at was the central distribution centre for my area (it isn't and no previous items have EVER been sent there first), and advised to contact them again today if there has been no further update. No further update is coming up on the tracking page so I've just emailed again.

Same as you, I understand that delays are currently to be expected but it is extremely frustrating that it continually says that it will be delivered 'today' no matter what day it is instead of just giving a realistic delivery date. I would have no problem if it just said it would take 2 weeks to arrive from the beginning.

Until then we will just have to sit back and wait slight_smile

The responsibility for deliveries lies with O2, not the courier

Call O2
