On Holiday - iPhone emails etc?

This may be a dumb question, and if so I apologise now! (The whole 3G, Wi-Fi, Cloud, etc etc stuff still baffles me!) Smiley Indifferent

I have a new 3G iPhone. I am a Pay & Go customer. I am going to the States for Christmas. I love the fact that I can read my emails when I'm out and about.

Will I still be able to do this in the States?

Do I need to get O2 to activate anything first?

Also, do I need to have something activated to enable me to send and receive texts?

Thanks in advance.

You can still check your email in the stated but everytine you use the internet (including using email on your iPhone), you will pay additional charges.

O2 doesn't need to activate anything, but remember when you dial abroad the prefix is +44 (get rid of the first number) and then continue with the number.

For additional information about going abroad, dial 2202 free from your mobile.

Hope this helps and enjoy your holiday

To avoid unnecessary charges turn data roaming off and use free local wi-fi hotspots in many hotels etc in the states.
