What phone have you put the sim into?

Does it give you the option to change the message centre number on the sim in the old phone?

What was the old phone?

Here's how to get your c5 settings;
•Press Menu, and then select Messaging
•Press Options, and select Settings
•Select Text messages, and then select Message centres
•Select SIM message centre, and then select Message centre number.

change whatever you find in there to tel:+447802000332 and you should be good to go:)

Hmm ok back to square one ill get back to you.

SIM card should be fine:)

EDIT: apparently if you foeve the phone to connect to a different network then reccomect to O2 afterwards it should reset the settings.

so it is displaying a different message center number?

try this one from o2s f&qs

  1. Press Menu (left soft key)
  2. Highlight Messaging and Open (press Navi key)
  3. Press Options (left soft key)
  4. Highlight Settings and Select (left soft key)
  5. Highlight Text message and Open (press Navi key)
  6. Highlight Message centres and Open (press Navi key)
  7. Press Options (left soft key)
  8. Highlight New message centre and Select (left soft key)
  9. Highlight Message centre name and press Change(Navi key), enter O2 then press OK (left soft key)
  10. Highlight Message centre number and pressChange (Navi key) enter either,
  1. Press OK (left soft key)
  2. Press Back (right soft key) twice
  3. Highlight Message centre in use and Change(press Navi key)

Hi

have tried disconnect from 02 then back again - no change

have run thru your list back on pressing option there is no option to change message centre

the sim must be ok as works in old phone so must be some setting on the phone itself?

thanks for help so far

Shouldn't be locked I was just wondering if it was for another carrier.

Ok well your both pay monthly so have the same message center number.

Yet phone doesnt recognise the correct one.

Is the software the latest iteration?
