O2 travel in Spain

So we are paying for the internet abroad with £1.99 . So it works well for 5 minutes and after is so slow that is better not to try.
This is not good at all for a paid service. Other companies give it for free. And O2 says is unlimited . However is not at all if you read through all the pages of terms and conditions . So better try to find Wifi and save the money .

It can vary from country to country and region to region. Many people say it's unusable but others have had no problems.

Yes we know.
Most of the frequent travellers have a Three sim for the EU or a sim from another EU country.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi @Anonymous Not sure what area of Spain you go to but I travel to the Malaga region frequently and on the occasions I use mobile data I never have a problem with speed.  I know it is dependent on the area you travel to but I think it's fair to offer my point of view. I go there at all times throughout the year. Wherever I can I use WiFi...and on the one occasion that was poor I used mobile data. .....

Swings and roundabouts really......

I am off again tomorrow and hope I don't have to 'eat my words' as it were....:smileywink:

You would be better off trying to get a local Movistar sim card for data use.

If you phone is unlocked then indeed get a local sim.  Otherwise you are restricted to o2 travel..

I still have O2 travel and used it as soon as I landed at Malaga. As I've paid for it I have kept it on all day...if you want my honest opinion data was loading more quickly in Spain than it was at Birmingham airport (which has 4G)

Two good local sims are Movistar (as said) and Orange ES...
