I’m currently travelling for 6 weeks and have just noticed that I’m being charged £5 a day but I’m not using data roaming and even when I do have it switch up then I don’t get any internet service.
ive only just noticed and I’m already 2 weeks in but don’t want to be charged for the next 4 weeks, there appears to be no number to help with this whilst aboard.
please help?

You need to switch off Mobile /Cellular data as switching off data roaming alone is simply not enough.
Are you outside the EU and do you have the O2 Travel bolt on in MM O2b? If so, even sending-one text will trigger the daily charge.

If you decide that O2 Travel is not right for you, you can opt out by texting NOTRAVEL to 23336.
If you opt out, you'll be charged for any data, minutes and texts usage at the standard roaming rates. Data outside of Europe is charged at £6/MB.

Are you using the phone for calls and texts as they trigger the daily travel charge, it’s not just limited to data.
Free contact number from abroad is on this link http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
