Hello, quick question. I have a couple of months left on my 02 contract. Can I pay of my refresh tarrif/balance of my phone and upgrade through 3rd party company like carphone warehouse or mobile.co.uk? Or would I have to wait till the end of my 2 year contract to upgrade outside of o2?

I'm staying with o2 and same number, just looking to upgrade to HTC 10 that o2 don't stock.

You can pay off the handset part of the refresh contract and upgrade at CPW. However it would be a standard 24 month contract through them as only O2 can supply a Refresh contract.

With refresh you can pay off your handset ..cancel the airtime and walk away. It's up to you then as to who you get your next phone from

Yes, of course.
Once you've paid your current contract off you can do as you wish - just remember to cancel your airtime too.

I'm happy o stay with o2 and keep my number. I just want to upgrade early and get the htc 10. So as long as I can pay off the outstanding balance and then just get the htc10 through cow I'd be happy.

I'm toyig with this and waiting for the new nexus, but with the HTC 10 not being stocked, and it prob flagship pbone of the year who is to say if o2 with even stock the new nexus.

I'd rather upgrade though o2 to keep refresh but I can't ha e everything

It's your only option if you want the HTC.

One of our members @Cairdeas got the phone direct from HTC. Lucky at the time as they had a 10% discount offer on when she bought it...

So if I payoff my outstanding amount of refresh can I go to another service provider or would I still be liable for the line rental cost up to my 2 years?

Thinking of moving to ee as I get a discount like I do with o2 but I'll lose upgrading through cpw
