O2 promotion with Sony free headphones not sendint the earphones

took advantage of the free sony headphones offer when you buy a xperia sony phone but cant claim the earphones as it doesnt recognise my imei number , nobody actully wants to deal with the claim , cant get some action to get the earphones sent through ? Any help or advice , some agency responds but just asks the same questions and nothing actually happens. poor administration of a promotion from my experiance...

 @berlingobob I can't see an offer for headphones with any Sony phone if I go to the O2 phones page. How long ago was this promotion? Was it through O2 or Sony? Have you spoken to anyone in customer service?

The 'while stocks last' is a bit worrying but as with any o2 promotion, actually claiming is a nightmare!
