O2 network

I'm so frustrated with O2 and the service I am getting I can't wait for this contract to run out so that I can switch to vodaphone. Yet another occasion where I've tried to send a text only to receive a message that the network can't currently send.

On the advent you do leave these may help

PAC code help thread http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Discussions-Feedback/Obtaining-a-PAC-Code-from-the-O2-Network/m-p/54427...

End contract http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/m-p/566774/high...

Please do try out vodaphone via their payg SIM cards to ensure you get good signal and unlock your phone for free here as your on contract so you can use any network SIM card https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form

You may well be in an area which is undergoing some maintenance work of network upgrades.
Check your exact postcode in the service checker for more details however, and if not showing anything report the issue to CS http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus or download the My Network app to report it (if available for your phone).

I'm guessing mast congestion then.

Can you try your sim in another phone as a process of elimination.

Unfortunately nothing we, as customers, can do to help any more than the advice already given.

Rule out or in network, phone or sim card and go from there.

Just checked O2 site and apparently service is up and running normally. I'll check out my sim in another phone, thanks for the suggestion.  SIM in another network I reckon.

At least that will rule out the hardware.

Then performing a sim swap at any O2 shop will rule out the SIM.

If you do migrate to another network then please check them
Out via their own payg SIM cards to ensure they give you good signal.

I known there are network issues in London but is anyone else having issues elsewhere? I did the checker and it says my area is ok but I'm having sporadic incoming calls this eveing. Sometimes I get an incoming call and other times I'm being told it goes straight to answer machine. It's been like this since about 7pm but I'm up in the Midlands and not down in London like it says on the network checker.

To check it wasn't my phone I have taken the battery out (I have a samsung galaxy s3 mini), I have even checked that I have not accidentally checked the call blocker but I think it's a network thing. Messages are working just not calls.
