Can someone explain how my bill has increased by 17.3%. My contract specified the following clause.
£15.00. Terms apply, we've attached a summary. Your airtime tariff will be increased in April in line with the latest RPI rate of inflation announced in the preceding Feb plus 3.9%. If RPI is negative, we'll only apply the 3.9%. See o2.co.uk/prices.
As the official RTI rate published by the government https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/inflationandpriceindices
is 9.2% for February how does O2 increase my monthly charge from £15 to £17.59 that is an increase of 17.27%
9.2% RTI plus 3.9% does not equal 17.27%
I would assume that everyone on the same contract as me has been overcharged this month.
