O2 in Droitwich (WR9)

Anonymous
Not applicable

O2 network down in Droitwich for nearly a week now. Any phone working on the O2 network (O2, Tesco, GiffGaff) almost totally useless. No signal (well, intermittently one bar, but usually no network at all) for calls or Data. Contacted them via live chat - not at all interested. Contacted CEO - not very interested but have written again in the hope that they would accept that they must have someone within the company with some idea of when service is likely to be resumed!! When my contract is finished I'll be off to EE I think..........

@Anonymous the member above has advised they have been advised that this is part of the network modernisation so perhaps the holy grail of excellent service is almost upon you. Fingers crossed.

One thing I will say, though, is that nothing would ever drive me to take up a contract with EE. I have had 'previous' with them (when they were Orange), & their arrogance was staggering!

Basically, they changed my contract without informing me, then told me to take them to court when I complained! They informed me in no uncertain terms that "they would win, because they had more resources" than me!! Great company to deal with, not.......and I bet a pound to a penny that O2 mobile would not be far behind in the arrogance stakes!

All networks think they are invincible to a certain degree because Ofcom don't have the spine to stand up to them and support the customer......
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

@Anonymous @Anonymous has made his choice and we respect him for that choice.

If he gets his fingers burnt then c'est la vie. Likewise he may have the best service ever. We shall have to wait and see.

A couple of years ago I had no service from my then provider Vodafone. The was no TuGo equivalent then but there was Sure Signal had I wanted to pay £50 (which I didn't feel I should have had to).

Yes it was annoying especially as my company mobile was also vodafone so had no choice. But it just meant I had no service at home. When I left the home area and back into signal all my messages came through.

That said if people need the phone for work etc ........ I get that.

Now though we have TuGo (for contract & business) so that reduces the issue significantly.

I hope so, pd123.....I hope so. I really hate complaining, but sometimes, I feel I have to. Does it do any good.....nope. Do I feel better....nope.
My first mobile was with O2 back in 2000, & after trying other networks (Virgin weren't bad) I came back to O2 because of the (then) broadband deal. Next......who knows? Ideas, anyone?

I would suggest wait till the end of 2015. By then the networks will look very different as much of the upgrades are likely to have been completed. Then decide.

The rural areas may have to wait until 2016 or 2017.
