Good afternoon,
I took a call from O2 earlier today offering me an £11 pm pay and go tariff. The caller knew my bank details, call usage and number, in fact quite a bit of detail. I was promised a text/email to confirm my new tariff but that has not been received and I am now concerned that the call was real. I tried calling the number back but that is blocked - 08000641087. I have spoken to my local O2 branch and they did not think that O2 called pay and go customers - can anyone confirm if something similar has happened to them and if it was a real O2 call?

The number calling the OP is LBM Marketing Ltd, which is an agent for O2 and apparently operates with approval.
