Not unless the device has been paid off in full. Usually a 6 month wait on new iPhone launches.

Iam sure if this unlock was any quicker this year we should have heard about it? It is pretty major after all...

I have done a request to unlock and receive this,
I'm sorry, we have not been able to unlatch your device at this time.
The reason given is:
Sorry, the handset credit agreement must be paid off before we can
unlatch your iPhone.
Thank you,
O2 Customer Service
O2 website shows,
Unlocking an O2 iPhone and using it on a different network
Pay Monthly and Pay & Go customers
If you're a Pay Monthly customer, then you can unlock your iPhone at any time, for free. This doesn't affect your contract though – you'll still need to see out the rest of it. This policy may vary depending on your phone.
To unlock your phone, just fill out this unlocking form and we'll do the rest.
Make sure you enter the mobile number that you bought the phone with, to avoid being charged.
Once we've got your form, it'll take up to 72 hours for us unlock it. Once it's unlocked, we'll text you to let you know. You can then put a non-O2 sim into the iPhone and connect it to iTunes. iTunes will then tell you the phone is unlocked.
Note:
None mention of the iphone 6s or 6s plus cannot be unlocked at the moment as like the previous iphones.
Confused of the different answers from sales person on shops and customer services. Some say yes, some say no and suprisingly some say I do not know.
As mentioned on unlocking that his doesn't affect your contract though. smilie_sonst_024:
