O2 Sim Swap - How long does it normally take?

I just upgraded my phone and have put the new sim in the new phone and text O2 for the sim swap. How long does it normally take for the swap to activate? I know it said up to 24 hours, being an hour so far.

Sim swaps are taking much longer than normal at the moment you will have to be patient.
