Hi, Recently moved to a Refresh contract. Was just wondering what the advantages are & how, maybe, it could be used so that you can upgrade your handset more often?

With Refresh your contract is spilt into two parts - the handset and the air time. The term of the contract is set by the handset part, the airtime is a rolling monthly contract.  The advantage is at any point you can pay off the handset part - after you do this your monthly airtime continues or you can choose to upgrade to  a new handset - starting off a new handset part of the refresh contract.
