Just read some fantastic news that O2 have bagged all 40mHz of the 2300mHz 4G spectrum.
I have two questions:
1. When will this actually come into operation?
2. Which handsets are compatible with the new band and will be enabled to take full advantage of O2’s
Spectrum acquisition?
Thanks very much in advance.

They were the only ones that bid for it.
Should be available almost immediatley and O2 will go live within in 24 hours of final approval. London first, then Edinburgh, Newcastle and Leeds amongst others.

There is a thread started earlier on this same subject: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Welcome-News/O2-wins-largest-spectrum-share-in-latest-auction/m-p/1117...
@Martin-O2 or @Marjo can these threads please be merged?

Everybody on here not working for O2 except me of course...
Seen a map of all 60 masts, a screenshot of a Speedtest shortly after it switched on after 08:00hrs yesterday and am looking forward to getting the next line of info as to where the next masts are being activated.

Obviously we all have an interest in this so keep on updating as and when you find out @Skyhawk1010 😀

Hoping to find out when Manchester goes live.
In the meantime my friend tells me the activation in London has been a roaring success, which is brilliant news.
I will be able to post as soon as I know.
