Hi everyone!
This is my first post on O2 forums so sorry if I'm bothering someone with newbie questions.
Here goes.
My wife is abroad now. Namely, in Moldova, Republic of.
The problem is I cannot call her. I can call other mobile numbers on the same network as her in Moldova, I can place calls to Italy, France, wherever. But I can't call her particular number.
I can send her SMS, she can call me, but I just can't reach her. I've tried calling from a landline and from other mobile operators and again, no joy.
Coincidentally, I've recently been in Italy in roaming and managed get through!
We've contacted the Orange Moldova support, and after going through the usual "restart your phone", we've finally got a more meaningful response:
Seems her SIM is a new one, from a new batch of phone numbers. The tech guy said that when a mobile company acquires a batch of numbers they must inform all networks so that they set up call routing properly. He said they've already done it (hence I can call from Italy) and suggested me to try pushing from the other side as well.
So, here I am. Does anyone know how to notify O2 to update their routing settings?
Meaningful info:
My wife is on Orange Moldova, and phone number starts with +37361******
iPhone beeps three times and drops the call.
Nokia does the same but also shows a "Number not in use" message on screen.
Thank you all for reading this.

Hi all, thank you for replying!
Yes, it does seem like an Orange Moldova issue that they should be taking care of. Who knows, maybe they're working on it right now.
Anyway, spoke to O2 custommer support. Btw, there's a dedicated Internationall Calling team that can be reached by dialing 155 from a landline. The explanation is that the (61) prefixed numbers aren't listed as valid numbers. SMSes go through because it goes to the Orange messaging center, which does the routing internally. I can receive calls because MY number IS valid My wife can't receive calls from UK because... well, I've already said it. They told me to insist the Moldovan mobile operator fixes this, which is what we'll try first thing on Monday when the lines are open.
Personally, I don't think this will get fixed. At least not until they give out enough numbers from the new batch to get enough complaints. And I doub it will be in time for us to benefit from it
Will come back with news, if any. Thanks again!

Hm. That's weird. Here's an extract from my chat:
======
O2 Guru: As you are facing the issues with dialing International number, we've a dedicated team who resolve this issue.
O2 Guru: Please dial 155, your issue will definitely get resolved.
Me: it's an O2 customer support team?
Me: I'll give it a try
Me: thanks
O2 Guru: Yes, its the customer service team for International operator.
======
Not that this makes any difference

Unless o2 still have there own team if dialed from an o2 handset and not a landline from a landline 155 is a bt service and nothing to do with o2.
As per your wording
