Number keeping.

Anonymous
Not applicable
Ok. So I've found a great deal on a resellers website. I already have a monthly rolling contract with o2 so easy to cancel. What I need to know is how easy is it to keep my number if I get a new phone and contract with a reseller. Staying with O2.
Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous

All you need to do is call customer service and ask them to migrate your current number to the new contract

However....Info on keeping your number here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number

And cancelling contract here should it be needed https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/How-To-Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/m-p/566774/highlight/true#M56526

Just a simple call to 202 to migrate your number.
It will close your old account immediately and generate the final bill which will include a 30 days notification fee.
Make sure you leave your direct debit in place for that account until it’s paid.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
