Number Transfer

I've been with O2 for many years never had a problem before. I've recently taken out a contract with O2 from being a PAYG customer.

The problem that I'm having is I've contacted customer services on multiple occasions since Tuesday to try and get my PAYG number transferred to my pay monthly.

I've been waiting since Tuesday to get my number transferred.

I need to have it transferred due my children being in school and it's the only contact number they have for myself in case of an emergency.

What else can I do? Any help is appreciated.

@Bambino Thank You.

I have just read through this and I never used Auto Top-Up I always did it myself.

So I'm still at a crossroads.

@zoe_94

You need to persevere with O2 unfortunately.

Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call Guide: How to find help & contact O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@MI5 I have been calling them everyday to try and resolve the issue. What makes it worse is that they disconnect the PAYG number.

I am at the end of my tether with them.

@zoe_94 If you don't have Auto Top-Up set up then just follow the section on moving from PAYG to Pay Monthly in the guide.

If you're still having difficulty you can also reach O2 via social media who should be able to help:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (now X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

@Bambino I will try social media. I have tried multiple ways to try and get my number transferred. Just wish it was a 2 minute job instead of it being a lifetime one.

@zoe_94 In theory it should be a 2 minute job, but this is O2, which is why you're going through the wringer. Keep in mind that anything to do with moving numbers doesn't really function on weekends for some inexplicable reason within O2, so you may be better off waiting until Monday now.

@zoe_94 At one time we had some good agents here who would sort things out. Sadly they were removed last July, leaving just us customers

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
