Do I have to request activation of roaming from 02 before travelling to Europe. Last trip my phone didn’t work at all. Have tried to engage with o2 help directly but have not got an answer before chat terminates

Can't see why a spend cap couldn't be applied?
Did they give a reason?

Yes. It was bought from a third party ie CPW! Damn stupid really.

A spend cap is applied to the account not the phone. A trainee adviser perhaps, or an apathetic one!
