Non eu call charges while in Greece

Anonymous
Not applicable
I arrived in Greece two weeks ago, used my mobile as frequently as I needed safe using eu rates my bill would be manageable.. However I have got £70 extra charges. Looked at the bill and i have been connected to Turkish network ?? I'm assuming its close to kos. I have rang 02 bu they weren't very helpful. I'm happy to pay eu rates but think its a little unfair I never got a txt advising I wasn't in eu. Is there a dept in 02 I can raise this with again?

Only customer services can help you.

When Traveling to a greek island near turkey this can happen the advice is to set network selection to manual and select a greek network. This will stop it latching on to a stronger turkish signal.

If you get no help from customer service you could try O2 | Complaint but I'm not sure if they will be any more sympathetic. Well worth a go though. As Adam says, we advise manual network selection as the phone will always latch on to the strongest signal.
