Nokia Lumia 820 Connection Issues.

Anonymous
Not applicable

I recently purchased a Nokia Lumia 820 and installed my pre-paid O2 Sim (Phone is unlocked and O2 compatible); However i have noticed a major problem with the internet access.

On a regular basis the internet signal seems to dissapear and this is causing problems with Apps loading. 2 apps in particular refuse to load properly (Sky News and IMDB).

I have also noticed that i am getting a HSDPA signal as opposed to 3G. As i understand it this should be equivalent to a 3.5G signal... but on my Iphone 4S (Which was being used up until Monday 12th November) i was recieving only a 3G signal at the same location, and again on O2, which seems slightly odd.

I have phoned customer services and been given the internet and MMS APN details which appear to be correct but this has not solved the issue with the lag in app loading and the drop in connection problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Rob

You drop out may just be a temp connection issue or the way the phone is network connected. Try turning off and remove the SIM then replace and reboot for a "new" network connection (also remove battery if you can for a few mins).
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
