No service on new sim?

Chose to keep my old number from virgin mobile and now I received my new phone and o2 sim it says no service on my o2 phone but I still have virgin service? Any help how to switch it’s really annoying as I can’t even log into o2 as it doesn’t find an account..

You should have received a text advising of the port date

Best option is to call them

But ports aren't done at weekend so it's possible it will happen tomorrow

Or advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.
