Just got back from the US, first trip using O2 in the US, previously was on Three (with no problems at all), when using 3g/4g in the US (San Francisco) if anyone sent me a picture through Whatsapp or iMessenger then I would lose connectivity for the day until I got back to hotel wifi, basically you have to reconfigure your phone apps to only accept text based messages and not do any large data transfers (1mb+) whilst abroad and using 3g/4g otherwise you are hosed for that day.
All in all pretty poor. Nowhere near as good as Three's offering where it just works as-if you are at home.
Jason.

My own experiences of O2 when roaming has never been good. They appear to have sorted out roaming within the EU Zone but outside of that I would not and could not recommend O2. It doesn't do what it says on the tin. Always a local sim for me now.

Not forgetting it tends to magically start working when peak holiday times are over....

Hi @Scooty997
If I were you I would ring customer services BEFORE you go and remind them you have O2 Travel Inclusive as a bolt on with your tariff and you hope you don't experience all the problems other have!
Seriously if it were me, that's exactly what I would do. https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
Hopefully this should avoid all the calls you are forced to make whilst in the US

@Marjo@EmilieT@MI5 @Martin-O2 grateful for an update on this issue if there is one as it looks like many more folks are experiencing the same problem.
Many thanks

Hi all. Leaving for Florida on the 6th October. I have the travel inclusive zone bolt on as part of my iPhone X contract. I will report back on the forums after I’ve been there a few days.
Have a great holiday @Scooty997 and yes please, do let us know how you get on
