No data please!

I would like to buy a basic phone for my daughter, (Old school!) not a smartphone, and have no data attached to the PAYG. Do O2 have such a thing?

Your best option would be to go instore or shop around the independents. You can get very cheap basic phones solely for making calls and sending texts. Also have a look on the Tesco website as they run on the o2 network.

No, but it won't stop the phone from being used.
Just make sure you are on the Big Talker tariff and top up as necessary.
You will still get some allowances (including data) but you also get to keep the top up to use on the phone on a PAYG basis.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You can always ask for data to be barred by customer services then you can use any phone as a basic mobile.
